Kenwood TM-281A 2 Meter FM Mobile Transceiver

The TM-281A is Kenwood's newest 2 meter FM mobile transceiver that produces a whopping 65 watts of power. The TM-281A provides 200 memory channels to program frequencies and data or up to 100 memory channels if Memory Channel Names are assigned to the channels. This radio is equipped with an easy to control menu and can display up to 6 easy-to-read alphanumeric characters with an illuminated front panel and microphone keypad. This radio also features a Weather Alert Radio function that checks the 1050Hz tone from NOAA (in U.S. only). The TM-281A is also equipped with a built in CTCSS (Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System or DCS (Digital Code Squelch) to reject unwanted signals from other stations. This radio is also narrow band FM ready.
