Audio is dull sounding (not crisp) and you have to turn up the volume on the radio to hear the same level as the rig or another comparative external speaker. Would not recommend. The MFJ speaker Cleartone speaker sounds MUCH better!!

I needed two external speakers for my VHF/UHF and HF radios in my truck so I picked two of these up at the Huntsville store. At the price point I wasn't expecting very much but boy was I wrong! These are mounted in the very back of my extended cab behind me and the audio is crisp and loud. I am very pleased with these.
