MFJ-1982HP

I use this antenna when camping or for other quick portable usage. It is an excellent product. On the last setup (April 2018) I did not have idea conditions in the mountains.
One end was 10 feet high and the other was 4 feet high with a section in the middle only 2 feet above ground. I was at 8500' . From NM I was QSOing with stations as far away as the USVI and had no trouble with communications within 500 miles. I was using a MFJ 993 auto tuner and on some bands both capacitance and inductance were zero or nearly so, thus indicating resonance. I will be purchasing a second MFJ-1982HP.

Bad Swr on all Bands.

Tried 2 of these antennas both had High SWR. I was told by MFJ support to buy an Antenna Tuner.
