The IC-2730A provides VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF simultaneous receive capability as well as VHF/UHF receive. Main dials, volume, squelch knobs and primal buttons are symmetrically laid out for each band.  It's display size is 1.5 times larger than its predecessor IC-2720H.  The frequency and channel panel are larger, also has a white backlight that provides higher contrast.  The Icom IC-2730A provides provides a durable PA mofule and is able todliver 50 watts of higher power operation on both VHF and UHF banks.  This radio has CTCSS and DTCS tone that are bulitl-in for quite stand-by and repeater access.  Split tone function allows you to set CTCSS and DTCS tones separately.
