Firestik K-1A Internal Locking Quick Disconnect

There are times when it might be convenient to quickly remove your antenna without fumbling around with tools. Perhaps your antenna is too tall to fit into your garage or parking structure, or you need to park your vehicle in an non-secured area. In some instances, you might not need to use your antenna every day but want to be able to snap it on in a hurry when you do want to use it. If that's the case, a quick disconnect is the accessory you need. To disengage you simply push down, twist counterclockwise and lift your antenna from the mount.

The K-1A model has an internal locking mechanism. This design offers weather protected components and additional security from casual thieves who may not be familiar with the push-n-twist locking mechanism. The K-1A can be used with any of our antennas up to 5ft (1.5m) long and with all accessories too. The actual installed size is 2.9" (74mm) high x 0.600" (15mm) diameter. The upper and lower body parts are made of chrome plated machine brass. The locking pin and the spring are made from stainless steel. The K-1A quick disconnect is compatible with all 3/8"-24 threaded antennas and accessories.
