This was an open box item but looked to like it had never been used. All of the packaging was in it's original state. This linear amplifier is very quiet when in idle mode. You don't even hear it. It will become moderately loud when the cooling fan kicks on. The adjustable voltage stays right on the mark during use. No fluctuation at all. My radios are operating without picking up any noise interference when transmitting. I'm not an expert on amplifiers but so far, I'm happy with the unit. I purchased this unit during the "Name Your Price" event for about a 30% discount.
