Solid performer as advertised but a bit noisy.....had to move further away from my desktop than had previously been home to my 40 amp Tripp Lite. Pleased with the price and construction, would purchase again if needed.

I was expecting this thing to be loud. I was pleasantly surprised that it was much quieter then my 30amp switching power supply I had been using. I got this due to a sale that made it a great price, but I found out after it was something I needed and I didn't know I needed it. I am starting to update and upgrade my shack and this is going to be what powers it all. I am only running 100watt station so keep in mind you may have a different experience if your pumping out a lot of wattage.

Fan on this power supply was twice as loud as my AL-811 if not three times as loud, when it's idling, no noise, fan kicks in, it fills the room with a loud noise, very loud compared to the amp (which is loud to me to start with) but not suited for use on or near the desk. It could be placed in a enclosed case or another room. Had to return.
