Just picture yourself solving this mystery, then placing your order, and confirming your suspicions in just a few days. You’ll have just enough time to wax your handlebar mustache and file for a Belgian call sign like Hercule Poirot, or to order a deerstalker cap and inverness cape like Mr. Holmes. If a splendiferous new radio, the satisfaction of solving a mystery, and saving $250 isn’t enough value, we’re also going to throw in a personalized 30-piece jigsaw puzzle to put it over the top! Just imagine the joy of recalling this experience over and over through the magic of an heirloom-quality tessellation set, emblazoned with your call sign.
What radio is inside? That’s the mystery. SPOILER ALERT: it can transmit with 100 watts on the HF bands plus 6-meters and has a direct sampling SDR receiver. It weighs 18.7lbs, and the chassis measures 13.4” x 4.6” x 10.9”, excluding knobs, switches and connectors that stick out. A 7” color TFT touchscreen provides an intuitive interface – a hallmark of the finest mystery radios.
What about the warranty? We can’t guarantee you’ll correctly solve the mystery, but your prize for attempting to solve this monumental mystery (the radio inside the box) will be covered by a one-year warranty.
What if I want the contents of the box without the mystery or the plain brown box? If your little grey cells just aren’t up to the task of solving mysteries today, we suggest buying one of these instead.
What if I don't like what I find inside the box? We doubt that will be the case, but if you go to all the trouble of solving this mystery and the mystery-solving experience alone wasn't worth the price, you can return it to us within 10 days for a full refund. The radio will need to be new and unopened, and you'll need to cover any shipping costs back to us. Just follow our simple return process.
Is everyone getting the same radio in their box of mystery? Don't be ridiculous! Each radio is as unique as a snowflake, handcrafted by blindfolded gnomes using enchanted soldering irons. Your radio is yours and yours alone, unless you lose it, break it, or trade it for a pet rock. Even though each radio inside this set of mystery boxes looks identical, you will know yours is unique because of a special set of numbers on the back, selected just for you.

Why are you doing this? In memory of some of our favorite silent keys: Agatha Christie, Sir Doyle, and Eddy Poe. Ok, so maybe they weren’t actually licensed amateur operators, but they were all rumored to have operated pirate radio stations in their day and this kind of surprise is far better than an FCC raid at your “bootleg” station whilst working a pileup.
Does this promotion break any rules? Nope. We triple checked. As long as you are OK with spending this kind of money on a brown box and the experience of solving a mystery, and you keep your trap shut about the free radio inside, we’re in good shape!
