Power Splitter
The Power Splitter can be used to distribute power between one, two, or three antennas/directions, or to combine signals from two or three antennas. It operates across a broad frequency range of 2-30 MHz and offers excellent matching and well-designed PCB/circuits.
Control Options
The splitter can be controlled using Station Genius, any manual switch controller, or a +12V DC antenna selection and SPLIT relay. The SPLIT relay inserts a 50 to 22 Ohm transformer for matching two or three antennas.
Unique Features
The splitter includes a unique "RX AUX" auxiliary output. This output routes signals from all unused antennas, making it ideal for scenarios where two operators are listening to the same frequency using different antennas from various directions. For radios with built-in dual receivers, the second receiver can be connected to the RX AUX output to access antennas not selected by the main operator.
PTT Protection
When using two radios to listen to a running frequency, both radios must block the RX AUX output using a PTT (Push-to-Talk) signal. Connect the PTT IN RCA connector on the Power Splitter to a PTT output from your setup, such as an APM, USB keyer, or Station Genius. The PTT signal will ground the RX AUX output, protecting the second receiver.
Antenna Compatibility
The Power Splitter RS3000RX is broadband and does not rely on 1/4 wave phasing lines for matching. It can be used with various antenna types, including mono-band Yagis, tri-band Yagis, single or tri-band quads, and vertical arrays. For diverse transmissions and reception, you can combine different antenna types, such as a Yagi and a vertical.
