I've had this antenna for a few months now. It has held up well in my attic without any grounding. I am using it with my 5W handheld and can clearly communicate with a repeater 16km away with slight terrain obstruction. Unfortunately I live in a valley so other repeaters are not always accessible. I've also managed to pick up a handful of signals around 40-50km away over water.
The first antenna I was shipped ended up getting damaged before it arrived as it was missing a critical piece of packing material. I contacted support and was shipped a new one which arrived even faster than the first did with no hassle.
