Great protection and nice bag for the IC705!

I bought this bag during Hamcation 2025 along with my IC-705, and I really love how well the rig fits inside. It’s very easy to carry in a regular backpack. I’ve had a few “accidents” with the IC-705, but it’s always been protected. I also like that the two side holes allow you to attach straps and use them to support the IC-705 during FM satellite passes. Overall, it’s a great product, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for extra protection in addition to the rails cage for the IC-705!

Good quality and does the things it says it does. However it is a tight fit with the wind camp cage. The 90 degree adapter on the windcamp has to be unscrewed to pivot enough to fit inside the bag. Also it is a tight squeeze to get this and the laptop bag into the explorer backpack together.

This provides great extra protection for the IC-705 when carrying it in the Explorer backpack. However, I have the full Peovi cage and the clear plastic face cover Peovi provides and it is a very tight fit. The cover/stand for the IC-705V2 add on also barely fits with the face cover installed. I'm not sure the IC-705V2 prototype was tested with the full Peovi cage and plastic face cover. The cover/stand for the IC-705V2 could be a little larger and have more flex to fit better over the face of the radio. I definitely recommend this product if you are not using full cage for the IC-705 and the Peovi plastic face cover. I don't have the Windcamp cage but suspect it is a little less 'beefy' that the Peovi and might work better.
