The Pros:
1. It is big 15.5" x 35", its size is good for a desk.
2. It is very attractive.
3. Contains much important Amateur Radio information.
For those reasons, very much I like this mat. Folks seeing this mat make positive comments.
The Cons:
1. For writing upon it is too soft as a desk mat
2. Place a piece of paper on it then attempt to write on the paper. The pencil or pen will often go through the paper.
2. Spill liquid on the mat it will absorb into it.
This mat should be made from a harder rubber type desk mat with the same printing. Again, the information printed on this mat is highly useful.

I give it one star for used as a writing pad, five stars for its appearance and information. This mat has relevant ham information nicely printed, very attractive. Sadly, it is too soft. Put a paper on it then attempt to write on the paper the pencil or ballpoint pen can puncture the papers. This mat should be printed on different material, such as the hard rubber mat my desk has. Writing on this mat is not any fun.

Selected one as a prize for our local hamfest, and got one personally. It's a real winner. Big enough to condense 3 mouse pads and keyboard and still have plenty of room. Outside edge is seamed and bound. Not going to wear around the edges.
