First HF antenna

Just got into HF. Out of the box hooked up to my FT891 in an inverted V, I had an swr of about 1.75:1 on upper 80m band, and got <1.2:1 on 40 meters. So it actually seemed more resonant on 40 than 80. Weird. Paired with a mat-30 tuner it’s good to go on 20, 17, 15, and 10. On 6m the tuner could only get me down to about 2:1. YMMV.

Radiowavz DX80SH SKU: ZRW-DX80SH this is an excellent match with the IC-7300 - once installed at 30 feet off the ground between two buildings it is not obtrusive and gets the signal out. The antenna is being match with a MFJ-929 - it has gotten out 4300 miles without any problems. Well made antenna expecting years of service.

Great Antenna for limited space

This antenna was recommended by GigaParts personnel. The antenna is 35 feet up using a tree in the back of the house. The rig that I’m using is FT 817 ND (qrp ops 5w. Also 50 watt using MX-P50 amplifier). Another plus is that it hides well. Good antenna to use if living in a neighborhood with restrictive covenants.
