The Kenwood TS-480SAT HF/50MHz Transceiver can provide up to 100W of output power on HF/50Mhz, requiring only 21A at max power level. Bands covered are 160M, 80M, 60M, 40M, 30M, 20M, 17M, 15M, 12M, 10M and 6M. The Kenwood TS-480SAT includes a built-in automatic antenna tuner with presets for quick band changes, covering all amateur bands 1.8Mhz to 54Mhz. The 480SAT also features a cooling fan for enhanced cooling efficiency during heavy operating use. A Digital Noise Limiter with 3 level settings is highly effective in removing even the pulse noise that cannot be eliminated with conventional analog circuitry and noise blankers. Other features such as RX Dynamic, CW Support, AF Digital Signal Processing (TX/RX), Beat Cancel (SSB/AM only), Noise Reduction, TX/RX Equalizer, AF Filters, TX Filter, Speech Processor and CW Auto Tune make the Kenwood TS-480SAT a joy to operate! The separated LCD Control panel with speaker can be freely positioned up to 13 feet from the main unit. The control panel also features 34 keys, each with backlighting to enhance operating ease. Up to 2 optional IF filters can be installed as well as the optional Voice Guide and Storage unit. PC-Based control is achieved with the ARCP-480 radio control program that is freely downloadable from the Kenwood website.
