Works well with some radios

Verify that your radio can use this device and be sure to get the correct adapter (13 pin adapter for Kenwood will NOT work with Icom 13 pin jack). For Icom radios, it's very useful to have the CI-V and data in/out on the same USB port of the PC.
Cable lengths are somewhat inconvenient - in order to keep RF out of your PC the two 1/8 inch audio jacks to the PC sound card are very short - this means the Plug+Play needs to be in a less than optimal position. Other than the length of the audio cables, it's a great interface, and West Mountain has detailed setup procedure online (be sure to follow every step to the letter.) I was able to get a 30+ year old IC-761 to work on FT8 with this interface.
