The CHA URT1 is a remote antenna tuner designed for outdoor use. It works with a wide range of antennas and radios, regardless of brand or model.
Compatible with Various Antennas
This versatile tuner can handle both coaxial cable and wire-fed antennas, including verticals, random wires, long wires, inverted Vs, and dipoles.
Brand-Independent Operation
Unlike other tuners, the CHA URT1 doesn't require a specific control cable for your radio. This makes it compatible with any transceiver brand or model.
Durable Weatherproof Design
The rugged tuner unit is built to withstand the elements and can be permanently installed outdoors near your antenna. This minimizes signal loss caused by high SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) on the feedline.
Fast and Powerful Tuning
The CHA URT1 covers a wide frequency range (1.8 – 54.0 MHz) and features 16,000 memory channels for quick recall of settings used before. It can match antennas with impedances ranging from 5 to 1,500 Ohms within seconds, and it can handle various power levels depending on the operating mode (see specifications for details).
Two-Unit System for Easy Operation
The CHA URT1 consists of two parts: a Coupler Unit for user controls and a weatherproof Tuner Unit for antenna matching. The Coupler Unit connects to your transceiver indoors and sends power and control signals to the remote Tuner Unit via the coaxial cable using a bias-T circuit. This eliminates the need for a separate control cable specific to your radio.
Efficient Power Usage
The tuner uses latching relays that turn off power after completing a tuning cycle. This conserves battery life. Tuning information is stored in memory, so you only need to re-initiate the process when changing frequencies or bands. If the new frequency is already in memory, the tuning will be very fast.
