Intellitron LA-1101 Lightning Arrestor 400w 50 Ohm DC-1000MHz SO239

Intellitron LA-1101 400w Lightning Arrestor

Intellitron: Expertly Built, Economically Priced

The Intellitron LA-1101 is engineered to provide superior surge suppression for your coax feedline, safeguarding sensitive radio equipment from the damaging effects of lightning strikes and severe static build-up. Its core strength is its wide-ranging performance, boasting an impressive operating range from DC up to 1000 MHz, ensuring it's compatible with everything from your HF rig to your VHF/UHF gear. This makes it a universal protector for multi-band shacks. Equipped with the common and rugged SO-239 connectors on both ends, installation is quick, simple, and requires no special adapters or tools—just screw it inline between your antenna and your radio.

For operators running significant power, the LA-1101 is built to handle it, rated for a maximum power handling of 400 Watts PEP (Peak Envelope Power), making it suitable for most modern solid-state amplifiers and transceivers. A minimal Insertion Loss of less than 0.1 dB means the protector does its job without significantly degrading your signal quality on transmit or receive. Critically, the unit features a high-quality gas discharge tube (GDT) that acts as the primary defense, shunting powerful transient energy safely to ground and quickly resetting for continuous protection. The arrestor is designed with a 50 Ohm impedance, perfectly matching standard amateur radio coaxial cable and equipment, which minimizes SWR and maintains optimal power transfer. Finally, its durable, weather-resistant chassis is built to withstand outdoor mounting near the antenna mast or entry point, providing the first line of defense exactly where it's needed most.
