Great addition to my portable kit

Just like another reviewer said, I could have taken the time to mark one of my many tape measures in the same way that they did on this but why bother? The price point is acceptable. The build quality is acceptable. And the darn thing is cool conversation starter when you are setting up for POTA and that random passerby wonders what you are measuring. "Well, let me show you what this is all about". And there's another one bitten by the bug. Save your time building one of these, buy this, and get on the air.

Nice but no metric lines

It would be even nicer if it had mm. on it. I need to adjust the length of an antenna to mm. Most countries other than the US give their specs in metric system.

Yes, this is a regular tape measure. Yes, you can mark your own on your own tape. So if you don’t want to fiddle with markings and need a tape that is sturdy to make your own loop antenna, it’s a great time saver. Basically you are paying a little more to have someone do the work for you. So if you don’t already have markings or hate fiddling with paper charts, this is for you!

We used standard issue tape dipoles, pre-marked with frequency as well as inches/feet, in Vietnam. Great way to set up fast. That was important! Good luck! de K1VI
