This radio has NO gain setting and every time I use it I get complaints had I’m talking loud enough. When I get closer to the mic port, my voice is distorted. Not worth arguing and sending back to GigaParts for a replacement. It will probably be as bad.

Great radio, great price. Receives great and transmits great. I do like it better than my other handheld Yaesu and Icom. Everyone I talk to says it sounds good. The audio is great too. I recommend it for anybody starting out in ham radio. Liked it so well, I bought a second one.

Excellent reception for a great price!

This is a great radio, I use mine to run FM satellites, reception is great and the battery last for many days. I recommend buy the cable FTDI USB Programming Cable Alinco DJ-500 ERW-7 3.5mm ( available on EBAY) for best configuration and programming the radio.
