I bought this so I could monitor a simplex channel with my handheld, and it works great. Easy to run and the cable is long enough to do what I need. I'm now catching people chatting on 146.520 without using my mobile radio. I would recommend this product.

Not bad for the price

Used this antenna with my HT. Works quite well. If one improvement could be made, I think the magnetic base could be improved. The edges of the bast started to rust after time.
