The Icom ID-5200A is a next-generation VHF/UHF dual-band digital transceiver designed for amateur radio operators who demand advanced performance and intuitive operation. High-Visibility Touchscreen & Intuitive Controls
The center of the ID-5200A experience is a large 4.3-inch color LCD with touchscreen operation. This display presents frequencies, modes, and status information graphically for instant readability. A newly adopted auto-brightness adjustment automatically optimizes the LCD and key backlighting based on surrounding light conditions, ensuring excellent visibility during mobile operation. For straightforward manual control, the unit features independent tuning, volume, and squelch knobs for both the A and B bands, along with physical buttons for frequently used menus.
Advanced Signal Monitoring
Stay ahead of band conditions with the integrated band scope and waterfall display. This feature allows you to visually capture signal activity in real-time. The display can be customized to Center, Fixed, or Fixed Scroll modes, and includes a memory scope function for efficient monitoring.
Expanded D-STAR & APRS Capabilities
The ID-5200A significantly expands D-STAR functionality. With Terminal Mode and Access Point Mode, you can maintain long-distance communication even in areas without local D-STAR repeaters. The transceiver can also send, receive, and view images directly on the device. Furthermore, the ID-5200A supports the APRS protocol, enabling real-time packet data transmission, including GNSS position information, text messages, and weather data.
Seamless Connectivity
Equipped with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the ID-5200A offers modern wireless flexibility.
