I currently have 5 clocks representing 3 different models that can sync with the NIST atomic clock in Colorado. All of them sync successfully. Unfortunately this clock failed to sync with the atomic clock after a few days of trying. This is the biggest issue I have with the clock.

A strange design decision is having two separate clocks that sync independently. I suggest that a future version have only one clock syncing, because the displayed time is dependent on the timezone set on each clock anyway. Why is this important? If one syncs while the other fails you end up with a discrepancy between the two. Also, if you set the time manually, the two clocks will again have a discrepancy.

A suggestion: let the user set the time zone to any arbitrary time zone so this clock can be used as a real world clock and not only a US and UTC clock.

The idea of an ID timer is nice but it means that the clock needs to be located close to the operator to be able to reset it.

Great ham shack clock

I am a Net Control Station (NCS) for several nets. Although I have a nice station digital wall clock, I determined I needed something that also gave me time in UTC and had a 10 min timer for station ID during the nets. This clock filled both of those requirements. It is small enough to fit easily onto me shelf above my radios, but big enough to easily see. The directions for setting the clocks and time zones were pretty straightforward. I really like the 10 minute timer function. Simply push a button and the timer stars. When it goes off simply press it again to start the timer function all over again. Sure is nice to not have to keep an eye on the clock while calling net members. The atomic clock update function works great to keep both the local clock and the utc clock synchronized. The price is such it doesnt break you budget and functions as it should. Great addition to any shack or computer room.

Great HAM Clock

Howdy Folks, purchased a couple of these. One for the home HAM shack and the other for remote property shack. Have wanted one for a while but finally bit the bullet. Not cheap but seem well made and for the short time I have had them, they work very well. Just what I have been wanting and I could not find this configuration anywhere else. Very good design for HAM operations. I really like the clock. Made in China, but... oh well, I might be too! :-) Top button to provide a 4 second back light and a 10 minute timer button with timing alarm to remind of station ID.

I had to set it outside to get the initial time sync but since then it has kept perfect time. I have one clock set for local time and the other for GMT for ham logging purposes. nice design and well constructed.
