Good on 40, but not so good elsewhere

Running an inverted V about 30 ft. at the apex with choke balun at the antenna.

Work 75 - 6 meters without a tuner

Tunes best on 20, however I work 80,40,20, 15, 17, 12, 10 and meters no tuner with less than 1:2.2 SWR, using radios internal tuner SWR drops to 1:1.5 or less on all bands. A good all band compromise dipole.

There is no miracle antenna , A OCF dipole will give you a useable antenna on most bands 6 meters through 80 meters , the best match out of the box will be 40 meters for the 10-80 version , built in radio tuners will tune most bands with ease you will need a tuner to cover entire band from top to bottom (with exception of 40 meters) a external tuner will be needed to cover all bands , all in all the OCF antenna is my second favorite wire antenna.......de WF8WF

Do not buy this...the claims they make on this antenna are FALSE! It had low swr on 40 meter band out of the box...any adjustments didn't make a difference! There is no way you could use this without a tuner on 80 40 20 and 10...maybe on 40 but I wouldn't try it! $95 dollars worth of wire and a junk balun...buyer beware!

It is okay. Put an antenna analyzer on it and it tuned as follows:
80m: 2.8:1 @3.9, 2.2:1@3.850, 3.1:1@3.765
40m: 3:1 @7.33, 2.5:1@7.200
20m: 2.3:1 @14.620
As you can see Marginal at best
80m: 2.8:1 @3.9, 2.2:1@3.850, 3.1:1@3.765

Works great on 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 without a tuner. 160, 18 and 12 come in with a tuner. Receives and transmits a lot better than the G5RV did.

Mounted at 40 ft, can hit all four corners of the us on 160,80,40 meters. Turned best at 40meters
