You get the right mix of housings and contacts for the most common current ratings, and everything is organized so you’re not digging around for the right piece. It’s a great way to build out a bench stock without overbuying.
The crimp tool included in the kit performs exactly the way you want it to. The action is solid, the dies line up well, and it produces consistent, reliable crimps on 15A, 30A, and 45A PowerPole contacts. For a starter kit, the tool quality is better than expected—tight tolerances, no sloppy hinge play, and a reassuring feel in the hand.
The included bag is a surprisingly strong part of the package. It’s well‑constructed, sized right, and keeps the entire kit organized. There’s enough room to add extra connectors or tools later, and the layout makes it easy to grab what you need without dumping everything out.

I needed a couple of connectors and decided to splurge on this kit. Now I have everything I need to make connections for myself and my neighbor. The thing I'm most impressed with is - The bag - the bag is outstanding - It has plenty of room for so much stuff - pockets for whatever you can think of. I can fit all of my cables and connectors along with the tools in this kit. Nice kit for sure, excellent bag!
