I paired this up with a IC-7300MK2. I’ve had it for one month and one week. Today, when I turned the power supply on, it made a popping noise and started hissing. It looked like steam or smoke was coming out of the unit. I was concerned when I bought it, there is a setting for 13.8 amps, when turned on the screen shows 13.9.

Just bought this recently and it has been working flawlessly. Runs cool and quiet without any RFI or noise induced on any of my radios. The Alinco's display shows 13.9V on its screen,but my newest radio indicates the correct 13.8V on its display. The rear binding posts are really nice and solid and they accept standard banana plugs. The posts aren't drilled to accept bare or tinned wire ends, they are just for use with spade connectors it seems.
