It's all I was expecting and more.

I bought the Anytone AT-D878UVII Plus and built a PI-star hotspot to go with it. Take a bit to setup, but it's running and very happy. I got it on a super deal when was out of stock, on pre-order. I liked the idea of 2-4 weeks to get my hotspot up and running. I was shocked when a week later it was in and shipped. Solid radio, sounds great. I was going to get a mobile DMR to have more power in the shack. But with the much higher price, power supply, triband base antenna w/coax the cost was way more. I look forward to setting up the additional items, APRS, GPS. Enjoyed 2 DMR nets last night from the comfort of my shack and easy chair.

Great radio, however there is no CPS available, that is necessary to program DMR functions. If I can find a working CPS I’ll give this radio 5 stars.

My favorite handheld yet

With countless Zones and channels, I can store Everything in the Radio. The user interface is the most intuitive I have seen yet. No manual needed, for the most part I can figure out most anything. 6W, it is great. Recommend you look at if you want bluetooth, if you do buy the PLUS next model up.
