High Speed Electronic Shutter
Capture every moment with the R8 Mark II's ultra-fast electronic shutter, high-speed continuous shooting, and advanced pre-capture functionality.
- Pre-Capture Mode: When the shutter button is half-pressed, the R8 Mark II begins buffering images before the shot is taken. If the action happens unexpectedly, simply press the shutter fully to save the images, including those captured just before the press.
- Never Miss the Perfect Shot: Record up to 20 frames within 0.5 seconds prior to fully pressing the shutter, helping you capture split-second moments that might otherwise be missed.
Autofocus
Stay focused on the subjects that matter most with the R8 Mark II's intelligent autofocus system, designed for fast, accurate, and reliable subject tracking.
- People Priority Autofocus: Ideal for weddings, events, lifestyle photography, and group portraits, the Register People Priority feature allows you to save specific faces in the camera and prioritize them for autofocus. Whether you're photographing a bride, featured model, or keynote speaker, the camera keeps focus on your chosen subject rather than other people in the frame.
- Dual Pixel CMOS AF II: Featuring advanced subject detection with 100% frame coverage, the R8 Mark II can track subjects seamlessly from edge to edge, delivering precise, sharp focus even as they move throughout the scene.
