There are five modules within Ham Radio Deluxe. These modules are applications that are designed to work together. 

• Rig Control
• Logbook
• DM-780
• Satellite Tracking
• Rotor Control

Read this BEFORE you download and install this software.

Keys formatted like "ASDF-QWER-ZXCV-ASDF" will NOT work. That software license server was replaced in July 2019.

Version 6.6 (and beyond) requires a new key formatted like "QWERT-YUIOP-ASDFG-GHJKL-ZXCVB-MNBVC".

DO NOT attempt this unless you have the new key in this format BEFORE you install.

In most cases, your new key has already been created and emailed to you.

To retrieve your new key, visit the following website to check for your replacement key using the email address associated with your purchase. There is no charge for this.

Copy/Paste the key into the registration - making sure there are no blank spaces before or after the key.

This download is the same for FULL or TRIAL versions of Ham Radio Deluxe. This download includes all bug fixes to date. The Trial version converts to a Full version when a software activation key is purchased and applied to the software after installation. This enables operators who used the Trial version to maintain the logbook database and other settings after their purchase.

Supported Hardware & Operating System Requirements

Because Ham Radio Deluxe is developed in Microsoft Visual Studio, Ham Radio Deluxe must conform to Microsoft's operating system requirements for their supported operating systems to ensure that our software is supportable.

The recommended minimum system requirements for Ham Radio Deluxe are defined by Microsoft's minimum requirements for your operating system.

Simply put, Ham Radio Deluxe will run on any operating system supported by Microsoft.

Microsoft's supported operating systems requirements can be found here:

• Windows 8.1 (Microsoft extended support until January 10, 2023)
• Windows 10
• Windows 11

While these requirements tell you what Microsoft thinks is the minimum requirements for their Operating System, that doesn't give you enough room to run many programs - Ham Radio Deluxe or otherwise. We recommend adding 2GB of memory to what Microsoft recommends.

Operating systems no longer supported by Microsoft:

• Microsoft ended extended support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020. Therefore, Ham Radio Deluxe is no longer supported on Windows 7.
• Microsoft ended extended support for Windows Vista on April 11, 2017. Therefore, Ham Radio Deluxe is no longer supported on Windows Vista.
• Microsoft ended extended support for Windows XP on April 8, 2014. Therefore, Ham Radio Deluxe is no longer supported on Windows XP.
