FAQ:

Q. What’s the difference between the amateur Hytera radios their land mobile counterparts?

A. The biggest difference is the amateur model is less expensive. During our initial market test, there is no difference between the two radios but future revisions are expected to include the removal of features such as encryption and man-down, restriction to amateur frequencies, and additional features and interface improvements based on feedback from the amateur community.

Q. Why don’t we show the price?

A. The manufacturer requires you to put the item in your cart before we can show you the price. We realize that this is an inconvenience and we regularly provide this feedback to manufacturers.

Q. Where can I download programming software?

A. Programming software can be downloaded at www.gigaparts.com/downloads

This radio can be enabled for wideband FM and front panel programmability if it is purchased by a licensed amateur operator. After you purchase the radio, send an email to [email protected] requesting this feature and we will email a program to you that will allow the Hytera CPS software on your computer to enable those features for your serial number. This process is controlled by the radio’s model number and serial number and only works on Hytera radios sold by GigaParts. Please provide your amateur radio call sign in the email request.

Excellent voice transmission
Thanks to the simultaneous application of narrow band codecs and digital error correction, the MA782G offers you outstanding audio quality in loud environments and in boundary regions of the radio coverage.

Dual mode
The MA782G features an analog as well as a digital mode and is compatible with the currently used analog systems, thereby simplifying your transition into the digital age.

Improved use of the radio spectrum
Thanks to the TDMA process, the MA782G enables you to assign the available bandwidth with double channel capacity. This has a clear mitigating effect on increasing spectrum scarcity.

Reliability and quality
The MA782G complies with the standards MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G and meets the IP54 degree of protection. A high degree of reliability is assured even in harsh environments.

Versatile functionality
Besides the traditional communication functions, the MA782G features numerous digital and optional functions, including text messages, GPS location determination and a lone worker function.

Expansion interface
Thanks to the expansion interface, the range of functions offered by the MA782G can be expanded to include key functions. Accessories and applications developed by partners can be connected to this interface.

Intuitive interface and key guidance
The high-resolution LCD screen offers a clear display, even under difficult light conditions. The large keyboard and ergonomic programmable keys facilitate efficient and productive communication.

Upgradeable software
Upgradeable software makes the use of new features possible. By altering the firmware-software, other digital and analog operating modes can be enabled, without the need for purchasing a new radio device.
