GOOD unit, works properly

The unit itself is almost a slightly heavier duplicate of an older RCA unit I have to replace.
The control box however is almost twice the size AND has built it "correction ability" for connection "errors" that the RCA unit did NOT have.
It works as expected so long as you don't have a large, heavy antenna array, (mine is less than 40 lbs, with apx. 5 lbs wind loading, at full height.
It also turns slow enough that you can catch direction changes as small as 2 degrees ACCURATELY.
I use mine to turn a "Hexabeam, 20m to 6m," (about 15 foot diameter,) antenna with a 2m-30cm Yagi antenna mounted below it on a 3 foot mast, with no problems; It also "holds location" in 40+ MPH winds, which are common where I live.

The only problem I had, was that the mounting "studs" supplied were WAY to short to provide a good thread engagement on the drive unit, (only about 2 turns of engagement on the 1 1/2 inch tubing used on my "crank up" tower;) easily solved by a quick trip to the hardware store for longer BOLTS to use instead, (at about 50 cents expense;) providing a guarantee that they WOULDN'T come loose due to winds and/or other stresses on the bolts, (I used grade 8 bolts, and "removable" lock tight,) so it don't wind up with the antennas on the ground to the detriment of THEIR condition due to a fall from the tower and impact with the ground. I also "reinforced" the clamps, but that is SOP with the clamps provided these days.
