MFJ Box Fan Loop Antennas

MFJ was able to make their MFJ Box Fan Loop Antennas radiate from 14-30 MHZ nearly as well as a full size dipole by paying special attention to the electrical and mechanical construction of the antennas. MFJ uses heliarc welds on all joints to eliminate excessively resistive compression connections in the antenna.

For tuning the loops, MFJ uses a specially constructed butterfly capacitor employing arc-welded construction that has much lower loss-resistance than conventional, less expensive, pressure contact air-variable capacitors. When resistive losses in small loop antennas are kept low, the antennas will transmit nearly as well as full size dipoles.

These box fan antennas are great for apartments, condos, balconies, attics... virtually any restricted space. They are also VERY portable, with a carrying handle included! Extensive on-the-air tests have confirmed that most stations can detect little difference between the signal from the MFJ Box Fan Loop Antennas and the signal from larger non-portable loops at the same height.
