The MFJ-1974 Stainless Steel Telescoping Mobile Whip is the ultimate solution for building collapsible multi-band dipoles, mobiles, portable, and base antennas. With a length of 96 inches and a 3/8-24 thread, this premium stainless steel telescopic whip is the perfect choice for your radio communication needs.
Whether you're traveling, going on mini DXpeditions, or on vacation, this whip is great for portable operation. It can also be used to replace your current automatic screwdriver whip for a more highly efficient fixed mobile operation.
This whip is rigidly collared at the base, stronger than plated brass, and impervious to rust and corrosion, making it able to stand up to the forces of nature and the rigors of portable operation where others might fail.
With four models to choose from, you can select the ideal length for the frequencies you need to cover. The base of each whip features a standard 3/8-24 mounting stud for installation on mobile or fixed antenna mounts, like MFJ's lip mounts, magnet mounts, tripods, and dipole mounts. For ¼ Wave verticals, use MFJ-342T or MFJ-344 mounts, and for dipoles, use two whips with the MFJ-347 dipole mount.
This whip is 8.2 feet fully extended, with five sections that collapse to 24 inches for easy transportation. It has a ¾ inch diameter by 2 ⅜ inch long chrome plated brass base, a 7/16 inch bottom section, and a 10-inch top section with a 5/16 inch diameter round ball tip.
In addition, this whip can cover 10 Meters through the FM band without loading and lower bands with a loading coil, making it a versatile option for a range of applications.
Invest in the MFJ-1974 Stainless Steel Telescoping Mobile Whip for a reliable, durable, and efficient radio communication solution.
