Beyond raw speed, the U7 Pro Max features a dedicated spectral scanning engine for real-time analysis, which requires UniFi Network version 8.2.93 or later. Designed for extensive coverage, it can cover an area of 160 m² (1,750 ft²) and support over 500 clients, making it ideal for high-density deployments. A 2.5 GbE uplink provides ample backhaul for high-speed wireless traffic.
Advanced network management features include Wireless Meshing, Band Steering, 802.11v BSS Transition Management, 802.11r Fast Roaming, and 802.11k Radio Resource Management (RRM). Comprehensive guest management options such as Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0) and a customizable Captive Hotspot Portal are available.
