Ready to learn about electronics using the Raspberry Pi? Version 2 of our Project Kit contains LEDs, sensors, WiFi module and other electronic components that you can attach to the Pi's GPIO port. It's a great starting point into a world of Pi powered projects.

Notice that bright, shiny row of header pins on your Raspberry Pi? These are GPIO (general purpose input / output) pins that can be read to and controlled through programs written on the Pi. This kit includes a selection of hand-picked components and documentation to allow you to use the GPIO pins to power your projects.

In case you don't know, the Raspberry Pi 2 Pi Model B included in this kit is based around a Broadcom BCM2836 system on a chip. It includes an Quad Core, 900MHz ARM7 processor, VideoCore IV GPU, and 1 Gigabyte of RAM. This board is intended to run Linux kernel based operating systems from a MicroSD card that acts as a solid-state hard drive.
