I believe this to be one of my necessary accessories for any ht. Spare batteries are great, but living in the high country, I never know how long a power outage might last. Better safe than sorry.

I always have spare batteries with me but in the off chance I don't, I can always find some double A's somewhere. If you have a Yaesu FT-60, I recommend this because you never know when you may need it.
