I bought 200' of this coax in June 2026 and I'm planning on making both long runs and short jumpers with it. I think this is high quality coax and I trust it will live up to the claims I've read about it. It is flexible but it's not "tender" either.
Today is Sunday of Field Day 2026 and I was the safety officer for our club's activities. As we closing down I was observing as the various power and antenna cables were being coiled. The last antenna cable on the ground was a long run to the FT8 table from the tri-band beam. I leaned over for a closer look at the coax and it was this ABR RG8X - same stuff I just bought through GigaParts last week. So one of the other hams in the club likes it too. I worked FT8 FD Saturday night using this same coax. We did better this year on that mode than we ever have during FD.
