I purchased one, best power out was 500 watts. Did not follow around like advertised my 7610 with a an interface cable. Blew a final while on a long QSO, SWR1.3:1, 400w out and plenty of of free air. Ameritron has had my amp since last week of June 2019. As of today Aug-7-2019 still not fixed and still haven't even looked at it. Over priced junk. I purchased an ACOM amplifier and boy does it run circles around the ALS-606 for quality and perfect performance.

ALS-606S did work great for 8 months but because of their poor customer service and don't give a damm attitude I suggest look elsewhere.
I purchased the Ameritron ALS-606/s in November 2018. I had to return it the first week because it was defective but, the company did send a replacement out quickly. I babied the amp, making sure the SWR was nil or at least below 1:2 at the highest and not driving it above 70w. Now just 8 months into use the amp just quit. First thing I did was to check the fuses. They were good. I checked the power. Also good. I called Ameritron and after talking to their "tech" person he just said to send it in. Now sent it UPS with insurance which was just over $100, Ameritron has the ALS-606/s. I called today and was told they have it but it will be 3-4 weeks before they will be able to even look at it. They never even bothered to email me to let me know it arrived.
I strongly suggest avoiding buying this system since their support is lacking and customer service is non existent.

Boy was I let down, 20 meters, 40w drive=500 watts. Long QSO, very open shelf for air. And BOOM...powered off and no worky, fuses ok, breaker ok. Been at ameritron for 2 weeks and was told they still haven't got to it. I'm done, no more Ameritron. My replacement ACOM is crazy amazing!

My first Amp and wow what a rockstar! Worked Mongolia with it and a G5RV Jr. My first night. It doesn't like SWR but shuts off to protect it's self if you forget to use your tuner.... Also follows the band your radio is on with proper cable......VERY PLEASED, KD8ROG
