Well made, lacking description

I bought this to put up my vertical. The vertical does not require a 2" diameter mast. I order 1.25" masting from another source and the u-bolts on the R-8TB do not go that small. I am now left with trying to either return the base or modify the u-bolt brackets somehow. The overview on the Gigaparts site is lacking dimensions.
