Overall
A Great Radio!
Review by
I have had my IC-7610 for several weeks. I started with an IC-7300, and I'm very pleased with the learning progression from the 7300 to the 7610. I love the 7300 and find 7610 the ultimate next step. I particularly enjoy the receiver of the 7610.

Fantastic Radio!!!

I've been using the IC-7610 now for about a month and am totally spoiled! The receivers are the cleanest I've ever heard (including some very expensive commercial HF gear). I've found the menu setup to be very user friendly and you can get going in just a few minutes right out of the box.
To learn all the fine features will require some study but there are lots of on-line videos and published books that will help you wring out all the "fancy" features. If you're looking for a "higher" end transceiver at a middle tier price, this is the one to get. At the current prices, it's a bargain!

Blows Everything Before It Away!!!
Review by
I have owned probably every high end rig there is. TS 950 SDX to most recent FTdx 5000MP. There is no comparison. Even did an AB comparison on a less than S1 CW Sig. The 7610 heard it the 5000MP didn't. This using the same antenna same conditions. If you want to try SDR the 7610 is a no brainer. "I love this rig"

Great Radio

I also have a 7300 and when my wife Linda AB6KQ bought the 7610 I was dumbfounded to say the least. I got the radio 2 weeks before Christmas and have gone through the basics. After using the 7300 for over a year and now using the 7610 I found that it was a very easy transition. The microphone I am using is the Heil PR-781 and it sounds great both on the 7300 and the 7610. The 7610 has a great receiver and blocks out adjacent stations that are close by. I love the dual band watch and find it easy to move between bands. I also installed the external monitor and it looks great but, it has limited control if you use a mouse to move around. I will update as I learn more about this radio. As far as the pricing, I honest feel that it is about 900 dollars too high.

Outstanding!
Review by
I have the IC-7300 and the Ic-7610 really does have even better receive! I cant believe the difference from my FTDX 1200 and ic-7300 to the 7610, I know not apples and apples but traditional to SDR is a big BIG improvement. I can easily get rid of other folks trying to sit on or near my DX target. The transmit is outstanding as well and I have received fantastic audio reports. The dual receivers, live waterfall, receive antenna ports and memory, voice recordings and the vast amount of adjustments possible make this rig indispensable to me. I haven't turned my other rigs on since my initial comparison. absolutely LOVE this Radio. Digital modes are easy with 1, yes 1 USB to the computer for Rig control AND digital modes. I use HRD, DM780, and WSJT.
