PotaFlex 7 features a high-visibility and reflective yellow polyethylene jacket (overall Ø 7.65mm ± 0.15). This crucial safety feature makes it highly visible in crowded places, stages, and events, as well as general outdoor applications, significantly reducing trip hazards. The jacket is designed for outdoor use, direct burial, is trample resistant, and perfect for constant handling, offering total waterproofness for long operational longevity.

The cable's impressive durability comes from its unique double braid with additional copper foil, forming a true "armor" against extreme conditions. This triple-layer shielding includes:

• 1st Braid: 83% screening from 144 wires of copper clad aluminum.
• 2nd Braid: 80% screening from 144 wires of copper clad aluminum.
• 100% Screening Copper Foil: The first screen, with an applied PE-layer, prevents cracking due to short radius bends. This robust construction results in a Screening Efficiency (SA) of >105 dB from 100-2000 MHz, earning it a Screening Class A++.

Internally, PotaFlex 7 features a 19x0.38mm stranded copper wire inner conductor (overall Ø 1.9mm ± 0.15), providing excellent flexibility. The dielectric is a triple-layer, high-pressure physical injection foamed polyethylene (overall Ø 5mm ± 0.05), contributing to its 83% velocity factor and low capacitance of 75 pF/m.

Designed for ease of use in the field, this cable is engineered to be stripped smoothly and well-frictioned, greatly facilitating the installation of connectors (especially when using M&P's specific scissors). Messi and Paoloni have rigorously tested PotaFlex 7, evaluating its performance after 100 windings and 100 unwindings with very minimal variations, guaranteeing consistent results, especially in combination with their POTA-SPEED accessory.

With an impedance of 50 Ohm ± 3 at 200Mhz and a maximum peak power handling of 8,000 Watts, PotaFlex 7 is well-suited for a wide range of amateur radio transmissions. It maintains reliable operation across a temperature range from -40°C to +60°C (-40°F to +140°F).
