Diamond SRH770S 2m 70cm Antenna

The SRH770S is one outstanding preforming antenna i am able to hit 3 local fusion repeaters and many others from inside a cement block building compaired to 1 with the SRH77CA antenna [also great antenna]. The only downside is the lenght, quite bulky to carry but where i will use it at well worth it. A great addition for my FT3D and FT70D H.T.s . Thanks Diamond and Giga Parts money well spent

paired it with my FT2D, now able to bring up repeaters 55 miles away from inside my shack on 5w all I can say is WOW

The ONLY reason I don't give a full five stars is because I'm comparing it to my MFJ 1714 "Long Ranger". It's all about trade offs, the MFJ is a 1/2 wave telescopic and the gain is assume. However, it is not accommodating to activity due to its 40" extended length. The Diamond SRH770S comes so close, at least on receive and is by far much more portable. The "Long Ranger" has no problem receiving or accessing a repeater 28mi away, the Diamond is slightly more... "bacon frying" but only slightly with the same repeater. These findings are with a Yaesu VX5R, FT-60R and an FT-2DR. I would not hesitate to recommend this antenna, nor would I hesitate to purchase again in the even I lost or damaged the one I have. Great antenna!

Simply the best antenna for VHF/UHF, the gain is extremely high and easily noticeable.
I am using it on a VX-8DR and its range has been multiplied, in places where no signal even existed now I can speak clearly, especially in the UHF band.

Just replaces my diamond SRH77CA and did some testing. I found the performance to be outstanding. I was able to monitor repeaters over 50KM away on my FT2DR and make new contacts on repeaters that I had not been able to reach previously. I would definitely recommend this new antenna.

I was actually shocked when I put this antenna on the HT to try it out. The incoming signal was easily increased by 3 to 4 S-units and I was able to reach a few local simplex contacts to compare it to the stock antenna. Similar results, increase in signal.
