It's ok, as long as your antenna is near resonance

I bought this as part of the FT-891 when I bought it, and initially liked it at first, but the max this tuner will do is 3:1 SWR, like many built in tuners. I figured that it would at least tune from 10:1, but I was wrong. I have an end fed dipole I use for portable operation, and it wouldn't even try to tune it, or any of my dipole antennas. It looks good and feels sturdy, but that's about it. Do better on this Yaesu....especially for the price you have to pay for it. I sent it back, and Gigaparts sent me a LDG Z11 Pro II and accessory cable without hassle or question, and this tuner works amazing.
