This headset is great! Great sound quality and works well using PTT. Use the PTT function since VOX never works on anything I've ever tried, so that is not great (since it doesn't have enough delay built in to keep transmitting in the quieter parts of words). Make sure you read the instructions: you have to have it plugged in before you start the radio.
Do not get the Yaesu MH-34 hand-held mic-speaker, which is absolutely terrible: terrible sound quality, worse than the radio.

I use this headset in VOX for satellite work and it frees my writing hand to take notes or work the Arrow Antenna. It’s performance is as it should be for the price but construction seems flimsy. A trade off for being light?
