Accuracy That Works for You
Correct Mechanical Deviations
Even the printer comes out of the factory with superb accuracy, mechanical wear and variances over time are inevitable—but now, first time in the industry, there’s a solution. With the Vision Encoder (1), the H2S achieves distance-independent motion accuracy under 50 μm—thinner than a human hair. During calibration, it automatically compensates for mechanical drift, ensuring consistent precision and peak performance over time.
One Print. Perfect Fit.
Bambu Lab’s Auto Hole/Contour Compensation (2) minimizes printing tolerances, delivering machine-shop-level precision for hole dimensions. Design fit-critical parts with confidence—integrate shafts, bearings, and fasteners without trial and error. Post-print assembly has never been easier.
Ready for Engineering Filaments
Featuring a 350 °C hotend and a 65 °C actively heated chamber, it supports the entire Bambu filament lineup—from PLA and PETG to PC and PPA. With closed-loop fan control and precise thermal management, the H2S minimizes warping and deformation while improving layer adhesion. Build large, high-performance parts that are as functional as they are strong.
Even Surfaces, Crisp Edges
H2S uses both the sensing capability of its servo motor on the extruder and the high-resolution eddy current sensors on the nozzle to precisely control extrusion by measuring nozzle pressure and calibrating PA parameters for each filament, improving surface smoothness and edge sharpness.
Precision in Motion
Active Vibration Compensation neutralizes micro-vibrations and resonance in real time, enabling premium print quality at higher speeds.
Intelligence That’s Got Your Back
20,000 Checks Per Second
Closed-Loop Feedback, Real-Time Control
Bambu Lab’s proprietary PMSM servo system enables 20 kHz resistance and position sampling to dynamically modulate electromagnetic torque vectors. It stabilizes extrusion and actively detects grinding (3) or clogs in real time.
23 Sensors + 3 Cameras
Each Potential Risk Has Its Own Detector
Vision System
With AI-driven real-time monitoring, the vision system detects clumping, spaghetti and purge chute jamming as they happen, helping prevent failed prints before they start. This same vision system powers advanced features like Live Spatial Alignment, allowing precise laser and cutting calibration, and Vision Encoder technology, which enhances positional accuracy.
Feeding
Filament-path sensors work in unison to monitor feeding speed and position, detect filament tangles and grinding risks, track filament mileage and spool usage, and ensure tool readiness across the AMS, buffer, cutter, and feeding paths, making sure every tool is in place and every move is under control.
Thermal Control
Five NTC temperature sensors are strategically placed across the nozzle, heatbed, and chamber. Paired with integrated airflow sensors, the system actively monitors and adjusts internal temperatures and circulation, maintaining the ideal print environment through real-time feedback control.
Safety
The H2S features five flame sensors, front-door and top-cover sensors, and emergency stop button to form a complete safety system. It detects fire risks, monitors enclosure alignment, and allows instant shutdown when needed—protecting your projects and your workspace at all times.
Pre-Flight Checklist by AI
Prior to each operational cycle, the H2S vision system initiates a comprehensive pre-flight checklist: Chamber Integrity Scan – Detects debris across the entire print surface. Hardware Configuration Audit – Instantly identifies build plate properties.
Flap Switch Airflow & Filtration System
3D Printing & Laser Cutting. 3 Modes, All-in-One
High-Temp Printing
Chamber sealed. Internal air recirculates through the Air Filter and the heater to stabilize high-temp conditions. Print large engineering parts without warping.
Low-Temp Printing
Top Vent opens to bring in cool air, while maintaining a filtered exhaust (4). Print PLA and PETG without opening the door, and handle overhangs and bridging with ease.
Laser Cutting/Engraving
Top Vent and Filter Switch Flap open. Fumes are channeled efficiently to the ventilation system, keeping your workspace safe and clean.

Question: Does the H2S support laser and cutting functions?
Answer: It supports 10W laser and cutting but does not support 40W laser. -
Question: Can a non-laser H2S be upgraded to a laser H2S?
Answer: Yes. The upgrade kit and its installation guide will be available some time after the product launch. Note that the upgrade kit uses an external air pump, which differs in installation structure from the built-in air pump. It must be installed externally and connected to the machine via an air tube. The upgraded printer has the same functionality and processing performance as the laser version. -
Question: Can the H2S be upgraded to an H2D?
Answer: No, it is recommended to choose the model that suits your needs when placing an order. -
Question: Is the H2S compatible with the first-generation AMS or AMS lite?
Answer: The first-generation AMS is fully plug-and-play compatible with the H2S for multi-color printing but does not support AMS drying. Due to fundamental differences in the feeding mechanism and buffer structure, the H2S does not support AMS lite. -
Question: How many AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT units can the H2S support, and how many colors can it print?
Answer: The H2S supports up to 4 AMS 2 Pro and 8 AMS HT units, totaling 12 units with 24 filament slots, enabling up to 24-color printing. -
Question: Are the hotend and silicone sock of the H2S compatible with the H2D or A1?
Answer: The H2S hotend and silicone sock are compatible with the H2D. While structurally similar to the A1 hotend, they are not fully compatible. For optimal print quality, we strongly recommend not using the A1 hotend on H2 series printers. Using an H2 series hotend on an A1 printer is feasible, but it requires the H2 series silicone sock. -
Question: Are the H2S and A1 series tool heads the same? Can the components on the tool head be shared with the A1 series?
Answer: The H2S tool head features a completely new design, with optimized and upgraded components, including the extruder motor, filament drive wheel, hotend heating assembly, and cooling fan. As a result, the components on the H2S tool head are not compatible with the A1 series, except for the cutter blade. -
Question: Are the build plates of the H2S and H2D compatible?
Answer: Yes, they are compatible. -
Question: Does the H2S support motion accuracy calibration, and is the calibration plate from my previously purchased H2D compatible?
Answer: It supports motion accuracy calibration, and the H2D calibration plate is compatible. -
Question: The AMS 2 Pro connects to the printer via a 6-pin interface. What are the two remaining 4-pin interfaces on the back of the H2S printer used for?
Answer: The two 4-pin ports on the back are reserved for future expansion accessories. For example, to upgrade a non-laser version of the printer to a laser version, one of these ports can be used to connect an external air pump. -
Question: Does the H2S come with a standard USB drive, and what functions are affected without one? What are the USB drive specifications?
Answer: The package does not include a standard USB flash drive. You can still initiate printing normally without a USB, as the printer has built-in storage space to run print files. However, without a USB inserted, the following functions will be affected:
- The recording and time-lapse photography functions can't be turned on;
- Printing cannot be initiated through the LAN;
- Print files cannot be sent to the machine for storage through the Bambu Studio;
- Log files cannot be exported;
USB requirements: USB2.0 protocol or above (actual minimum write speed needs to be greater than 10MB/s), supported file formats are FAT32 and exFAT. and the printer only supports mounting one USB, and cannot connect multiple USB via a USB hub. -
Question: What precautions or recommendations are there for printing TPU with the H2S?
Answer: Due to TPU’s flexible nature, which can cause issues during feeding and printing, we’ve created a dedicated wiki guide for TPU printing. Following the guide ensures smooth TPU printing. -
Question: What precautions should be taken when using the laser function?
Answer: Laser processing involves high-energy beams that may interact with flammable materials. Never leave the machine unattended during laser operation, ensure no flammable or explosive items are nearby, and refer to the Laser Safety Document for detailed safety guidelines.
