I bought this to use on a Baofeng. I have tried the stock external mic/earpiece as well as a few clip on mics, and always had complaints about my audio. Tonight I used it for our local VHF Net, as the NCS, and had 3 people tell me my audio never sounded better! I probably would have had more good reports but I asked one person after the net and 2 more chimed in. Yes, it costs about as much as my cheap radio, but this beats upgrading to a better, unaffordable to me, radio. This is the second Heil headset I have purchased One for my HF rig), and I will never buy anything else now.
