I use my 20 meter ham stick primarily for POTA activations. This quick connect and disconnect makes the set-up and take-down much quicker and easier. I tuned and checked the SWR of the ham stick before and after connecting the base and the ham stick - there were essentially no change in it. Any change, should be minor, and could be fixed by retuning by adjusting the stinger. I recommend these without hesitation.

I have bought two packs of these quick-connects so far. I will swear by these, I have several ham-sticks and I am constantly switching bands and these make it so much easier, especially if I am roving POTA parks or just needing a quick band change in poor weather conditions.
These connections also serve as thread protections for your ham-sticks, I am pretty ruff on my sticks, as far as throwing then in the bed of the truck and moving place to place, so its nice having the threads protected.

I got these to use Ham Sticks on my jeep; I can't have tall antennas on my Jeep when trail riding or even hitting Mc D for breakfast. lol Very fast and easy to use and has opened up what antennas I can have and use.
