Like the radio size for my shack. RX is exceptional. TX gets better if you make some adjustments to the menu settings. I think Yaesu has the settings a bit too bland. Make certain you have updated your software because the last one for me made enhanced the DNR quality and seems to have eliminated the underwater sound. My other rig is an 891. Both are great!

Yaesu FT-710 AESS, my first and only!

In the last year I have obtained my Technician, General an Extra Class licenses and just now completed my task. The Yaesu FT-710 AESS is the first radio I purchased, I know nothing about any other transceiver, but I am satisfied with this radio for the price! The thing that impresses me the most is the fact that I can connect a 14 inch computer monitor to the radio and have a visibly large screen to see all of the details, also the fact that you can connect a mouse to the USB port and select screen objects is really incredible. I think that the Yaesu FT-710 AESS is a great product and I will be satisfied for many years to come!

Very good little radio. Good audio and excellent DNF filter. However.the DNR has a little bit to be desired.
A setting of 1, 2, 3 are good, but anything
above 3 is under water. 4 is where the DNR needs to be to quite down
the hiss, but it sounds underwater. The FTDX10 does not do this.

Bought this radio to upgrade from my Alinco DX-SR8T. The DNR function sounds like the west Mountain Radio ClRpeaker when the audio signal is weak. No complaints here, Thanks Yaesu

The Radio Icom Users Will Hate to Love

Have used Icom radios exclusively for the last few years, but this radio is a complete winner. The audio is so clear and distinct. The waterfall makes it easy to find signals, and the menu system is a vast improvement over older models. I pulled in a POTA station from Italy on voice. While it wasn't like they were in the next room, their signal and audio came through this radio clearly and distinctly. Haven't figured it all out yet, but I know it works well for FT-8 in addition to voice. This is a great radio. I highly recommend. AD0DQ
