What the FTX Optima needed was a way to use that awesome field head conveniently, while keeping the functionality and added power of the SPU base unit off to the side. Now I can leave the base unit and battery down in a pelican case and just use the field head and a headset for drive up POTA activations. It’s awesome. I didn’t realize how much I needed this, as I’ve never used relo kits on my other mobile HF rigs. But they were also a lot smaller, and the front panel a lot less “useful” than the FTX. This is a must buy for mobile Optima users, IMO

Super-long cables

I ordered these extension cables in case I ever wanted to vehicle mount my FTX-1F to the optima amplifier. I haven’t used them yet but them are arranged just like the connectors that are attached to the optima itself. The cables seem extremely long so should work nicely for a remote setup in a vehicle.

Part looks to be well made. Unfortunately I can't use it until Yaesu releases the SPA1.
