Question | Answer |
What materials are the P2S's pre-installed extruder gears and nozzle made of? |
The pre-installed extruder gears and nozzle are made of hardened steel. This ensures durability and compatibility when printing with abrasive filaments like carbon fiber-filled materials.
|
How many AMS units can the P2S connect to for multi-color printing? |
The P2S is designed for extensive multi-color printing. It supports connecting up to 8 AMS units in total (4 AMS 2 Pro and 4 AMS HT units), providing up to 20 color slots.
|
Is the P2S compatible with nozzles from other Bambu Lab printers? |
Yes, the P2S is compatible with H2D nozzles. However, it is not compatible with A1 nozzles.
|
Are my older Bambu Lab build plates compatible with the P2S? |
Older build plates will fit and can be used for printing since their external dimensions are consistent. However, the P2S features optimized build plate recognition, which older plates will not support.
|
Why does the P2S use smooth rods instead of carbon rods? |
Bambu Lab switched to smooth rods to allow for easier maintenance. Dirt residual is simpler to clean off the surface of a smooth rod compared to a carbon rod.
|
Does the P2S have active chamber heating? |
No, the P2S does not have an active chamber heating function. However, it can regulate chamber temperature (up to 50°C) through its fully enclosed chamber and an automatic switching flap that controls internal and external air circulation.
|
Does the P2S support an auxiliary part cooling fan upgrade? |
Yes. The left side of the P2S has mounting points, and you can purchase and install an official auxiliary cooling fan for upgrading.
|
Can I dry filament using the AMS 2 Pro while the P2S is printing? |
You can use the AMS 2 Pro's drying function while the P2S is in standby. If you need to dry filament while printing, you must purchase a Bambu Lab official power adapter to independently power the AMS 2 Pro.
