I use all connections. Power poles, binding posts, banana plugs, to power my equipment. It has a noise offset knob, but I haven't found any birdee's , so it isn't needed. The 13.8 volts is rock solid under all loads. The dual-purpose lighted meter is a plus. The PS-2230 is an excellent buy for the price! Recommended.

There are many different power supplies available. Higher and lower ratings, higher and lower prices, but one thing stands out in this unit. There is a knob on the front panel that allows the switching frequency to be varied. With this feature, if the power supply is generating a noise where you are trying to listen, a gentle turn of this knob shifts the frequency out of your receiver. I do not know of another power supply that can do this.

For a compact switching power supply, this one packs a good payload and does it quietly. Having the powerpoles is a real plus for me as I use them on a lot of ham gear. The meter is always a preferred item, too!

Extremely quiet and does what it is supposed to do at a great price point. Small enough to fit in tight spaces. The power poll jacks in front are convenient for powering radio adjacent appliances such as my SWR meter. Very happy with this product.

Literally Plug and Play

I bought this unit to power my IC-7100. There was no fuss. I connected the radio's power cord and flipped the PS-2230MAB on. I've not had any need to use the Noise Reduction feature. The reception on the IC-7100 is excellent! I can't imagine obtaining any improved performance with more expensive units.
